The Arcus Fund supports efforts within Michigan to improve the quality of life of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) community. Areas of special interest include social equity, public awareness and understanding, health and safety and scientific inquiry.

Examples of initiatives that work toward this goal include GLBT community resource centers in Michigan localities, GLBT legal advocacy programs for Michigan residents and educational outreach within Michigan communities.
