Your Community, Your Discussion
Although the YWCA Out &
Affirmation Center maintains an e-mail and postal mailing list to broadcast
announcements throughout our community, those mailings don't allow for
discussion, snappy come-backs, or the kind of networking that can help knit
a community together.
For those who want to
participate in a community-wide discussion that includes Berrien County and
our surrounding service area, the Center will soon be hosting a list serve
called thebuzz@outcenter.org.
Once you join, every message that you send to
thebuzz@outcenter.org will automatically go to all members of
the list,
and you'll also receive every message sent by other members. We intend for
the list to facilitate a more personal local discussion across and throughout
our community, a place where it's okay to be playful, creative, good neighbors,
and just a little bit outrageous. But do mind your manners: as gay as you
might be, we expect you to resist flaming others as well as being rude, crude,
or otherwise offensive and cruel. We will, if necessary, remove folks from
the list serve for bad behavior.
The list is open to all
interested members of the community, and details on how to join will be posted
soon.
