Beautifully situated on a bluff overlooking the St. Joseph River, Riverbend Retreat is a luxury bed & breakfast nestled in a quiet secluded area of woods and wetlands. Just 90 minutes from Chicago, this area of southwest Michigan has so much to offer - St. Joseph is located on Lake Michigan and home of the famous Silver Beach, with several great art museums and galleries, along with restaurants and charming shops. The Benton Harbor Arts District is also close by, and offers a number of unique galleries, wine tasting, micro-brewery, and restaurants. South Haven and Saugatuck are only a "day-trip" away for great shopping and dining.

Our Mission: As Benton Harbor's only Bed & Breakfast, we strive to make all guests, including LGBT guests, welcome and comfortable.

Rooms and Amenities: All rooms include a fabulous gourmet breakfast (we do take requests for your favorite dish). Amenities include fluffy cotton bathrobes in all rooms, bottled water, fresh flowers, and hot tea and homemade cookies in the dining room.

Additional Services: In-house massage and other body work, as well as manicures. We gladly provide concierge services to help you make reservations for dinner, golf, theatre, or plan other activities in the area. Celebrating an anniversary, birthday, or other special occasion with someone special? Order a gift basket and have it sent ahead. We will place it in your room before your arrival for that special surprise! We welcome small canine visitors (under 25 pounds, additional charge), with pet-sitting services available (if schedule allows) at an additional fee.

Business travelers: Why stay in a motel when you can stay with us? We provide a great home-cooked breakfast, a fabulous view, and laptop caddie in every room. Utilize our cozy office for high-speed satellite internet, fax, and copier. Secretarial services are available for an additional fee.
